Abstract:
As part of a research on “completing integrated crop management techniques applied for coffee in Vietnam”, belonging to the KC06 national research program, this research based on modified ICM protocol applies some new techniques on robusta coffee models in Lam Dong and Dak Lak, which are main robusta coffee planting areas in Vietnam. These techniques, aiming at reducing costs of production by using suitable inputs and applying new technologies, include the uses of bio-product Trichoderma spp. for plant protection, appropriated fertilizer volume based on soil nutritions and coffee yield, irrigation based on specific climatic conditions, local sprinkler and fertigation, etc. Results showed that economic efficiency of ICM coffee models increased more than 20% on average as compared to that of the control. This allows to give new ICM protocol applied for sustainable coffee production in Vietnam.
