Ministry of Science and Technology launches a donation drive to support people in overcoming the aftermath of typhoon no. 10
In response to the severe damages caused by Typhoon No. 10 in many central provinces, on the morning of October 6, the Ministry of Science and Technology (MST) organized a launching ceremony for a donation drive to support the affected people, aiming to share difficulties and assist residents in overcoming the consequences of the natural disaster.
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Minister of Science and Technology; Deputy Ministers, leaders of units under the Ministry, along with all cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers at the Ministry's headquarters at 18 Nguyen Du.

Speaking at the event, Minister Nguyen Manh Hung emphasized the nation's spirit of "mutual affection" (tương thân tương ái) and the tradition of "the strong protecting the weak" (lá lành đùm lá rách). He called on all officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers within the industry to uphold the spirit of solidarity and join hands to support the disaster-stricken communities.
This action demonstrates social responsibility, contributes to sharing the burden with the people, and assists local authorities in quickly overcoming the aftermath, stabilizing lives, and resuming production.
Immediately following the launch ceremony, leaders of the Ministry, units, Trade Unions, individual officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers at the MST headquarters directly made contributions with a spirit of voluntariness and sharing.

According to the Organizing Committee, the entire amount collected will be compiled and transferred to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee to provide timely assistance to the most severely affected provinces.
The donation drive to support the people in the Central region in overcoming the aftermath of Typhoon No. 10 demonstrates the noble gesture and the spirit of "the intact leaf covers the torn one", "mutual love and support" of the cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers in the science and technology sector; while also spreading humanistic values and the tradition of solidarity and sharing throughout society./.
