CONGRATULATORY LETTER FROM MINISTER NGUYEN MANH HUNG ON INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY, MARCH 8

Dear female colleagues,
8 March 8 – a day to honor women, but also an occasion for us to reflect on the special role of women in the development of society.
I have always believed that the progress of a society can be seen through the status of women within it. When women are respected, provided with conditions for growth, and given opportunities to contribute, that society will certainly advance.
Science and technology are often considered fields of logic and reason. However, innovation requires not only intellect but also finesse, perseverance, and sensitivity toward people and life. These are, in fact, very characteristic qualities of women.
It can be said that women bring to science and technology not only knowledge but also the humanity of knowledge.
We are living in a very special era. Science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation are becoming the central drivers of development. In the digital era, knowledge becomes the most important resource. And in the world of knowledge, opportunities for men and women are equal.
Machines and AI cannot replace creativity, finesse, and the ability to understand humans. These qualities are exactly what women possess in abundance.
Therefore, I believe that the digital era is also an era that opens up more opportunities for women. However, women also face their own unique challenges. In addition to professional work, women carry many family responsibilities. It is for this reason that every success achieved by a woman often requires much greater effort.
What is precious is that regardless of their role, our female colleagues always maintain their dedication, responsibility, spirit of contribution, and especially, their warmth.
We, the men, deeply cherish and are grateful for those contributions.
A good organization is one that has balance and harmony between different qualities, including the very special qualities of women.
Women do not just make up half of the world; they make the whole world warm.
On the occasion of International Women’s Day on 8 March, I respectfully send to my female colleagues wishes for health, beauty, happiness, and success. I wish for all women to always maintain their enthusiasm in work, warmth in the family, and a firm belief in themselves.
Happy International Women’s Day, 8 March!
Minister of Science and Technology
Nguyen Manh Hung
