CT Group proposes deploying several technologies for the ASEAN region

The meeting took place in an open atmosphere with a series of proposals to address common ASEAN issues using high-tech solutions from ASEAN itself, such as corneal transplants for nearly 6 million blind people in ASEAN, genetic modification of rice to respond to climate change and rising sea levels, and the development of a Low Altitude Economy (LAE) for ASEAN…

Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn emphasized the growing stature of the bloc as ASEAN becomes a community of 700 million people. Strategically located between major economic centers, ASEAN is facing unprecedented opportunities and challenges such as climate change, natural disasters, low labor productivity, and development gaps between regions. Strategic technologies will be a crucial foundation for solving current and future problems.

In this context, CT Group is proactively participating in the development of strategic technologies to contribute to solving common challenges in the region. Mr. Tran Kim Chung, Chairman of CT Group, emphasized: "As a strategic technology group within ASEAN, we aspire to contribute to the community of 11 nations, helping to make ASEAN a new growth engine for the global economy. We believe that technology will connect the ASEAN community more closely, creating new opportunities in economics, education, and many other fields, especially bringing people in rural and remote areas closer to the fruits of innovation”.

Currently, CT Group has established an office in Indonesia and is gradually implementing technology cooperation programs in this most populous ASEAN country.

In August 2025, CT Group signed a cooperation agreement with the Indonesian Ministry of National Development Planning (Bappenas) to develop policies and a low-level spatial economic ecosystem to support Indonesia's national digital transformation. In the near future, GASCOLAE will deploy LAE services across more than 17,000 islands in Indonesia.

Impressed by the strategic vision and aspiration to contribute to the common development of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn affirmed his commitment to partnering with CT Group in strengthening connections with ASEAN cooperation mechanisms and business networks, expanding strategic partnerships, and building bridges to bring ASEAN technology to the world.

The meeting between CT Group and the ASEAN Secretary-General marked a new milestone in the journey of connecting Vietnamese technology businesses with the ASEAN Community, demonstrating the increasingly prominent role of the private sector in promoting innovation and realizing the ASEAN Community Vision 2045.
