14th National Party Congress to conclude on January 23, schedule shortened by 1.5 days
During the plenary session on the afternoon of January 21, delegates at the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) resolved to shorten the working schedule of the Congress by 1.5 days.
According to the initial program announced during the pre-Congress press conference by Comrade Tran Cam Tu, Member of the Politburo and Standing Member of the CPV Central Committee Secretariat (13th tenure), the 14th National Party Congress was originally scheduled to take place from January 19 to 25, 2026.
However, in light of the high spirit of commitment, scientific working methods, and a profound sense of responsibility, the Congress has completed many major agenda items ahead of schedule.
Consequently, during the working session on the afternoon of January 21, the Congress voted to approve an adjusted schedule, reducing the duration by 1.5 days compared to the original plan.
The 14th National Party Congress is now expected to hold its closing ceremony on January 23./.
