TECHFEST Vietnam 2025 extends the innovation space to the entire society
On 13 December 2025, at the Hoan Kiem Lake pedestrian area, Hanoi, the national innovation startup day TECHFEST Vietnam 2025 officially opened, gathering more than 700 booths along with the community of startups, technology enterprises, scientists, and domestic and international investors.
TECHFEST Vietnam 2025, themed "All-people creative startup - a new growth driver", takes place from 12 to 14 December, organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MST) in coordination with the Hanoi People's Committee.
The startup ecosystem is present within the open urban space
TECHFEST Vietnam 2025 marks the 11th year the event has been organized, continuing to affirm its role as the largest annual meeting point for Vietnam's innovative startup ecosystem.
This year, the outstanding difference of TECHFEST Vietnam 2025 is the expansion of the organizing space to the Hoan Kiem Lake pedestrian area, bringing science and technology and innovation closer to the social community.
TECHFEST Vietnam 2025 features over 700 booths displaying and introducing scientific and technological products and solutions in many fields such as artificial intelligence, big data, digital transformation, biomedical technology, education, high-tech agriculture, green economy, and circular economy. The booths are designed to be open, allowing people, businesses, students, and investors to directly access, experience technology, and interact with startup teams.
In parallel with the exhibition activities, TECHFEST 2025 organizes a series of specialized workshops, seminars, investment connection sessions, pitch calls for capital, and startup talent search, thereby forming a multi-dimensional exchange forum among stakeholders in the innovative ecosystem... Organizing activities in various public spaces such as squares, streets, and creative cafes contributes to spreading the spirit of innovative entrepreneurship beyond the scope of professionals.
Spreading the spirit of innovation and connecting resources
TECHFEST Vietnam 2025 takes place in the context where science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation continue to be identified as crucial drivers for economic growth. Many new technologies and new business models introduced at the event show a shift from outsourcing and application to research and technology mastery, gradually participating deeper into the global value chain.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized: "Innovation is not only an aspiration but has become the main driving force for the development of every nation, every organization, every enterprise, and every citizen". According to the Prime Minister, spreading the spirit of innovation throughout society is a key factor for creating fast and sustainable growth.
The Prime Minister also affirmed the constructive role of the State in developing the innovative startup ecosystem, focusing on perfecting institutions, promoting the commercialization of research results, developing the venture capital market, and connecting domestic and international resources.
"The people and businesses are the center, the subjects, the resources, and the driving force of innovation", the Prime Minister emphasized.
From event to long-term development driver
A highlight of TECHFEST Vietnam 2025 is the increased participation of localities, research institutes, universities, and large enterprises in building a network of innovation centers, supporting startup incubation, and commercializing scientific research results. This is considered an important foundation for the innovative startup ecosystem to develop in depth, instead of being fragmented and spontaneous.
With an increasingly expanded scale and a closer approach to society, TECHFEST Vietnam 2025 is not only a technology showcase event but also a space for connecting resources for innovation, from policy, finance, and human resources to the market. Bringing science and technology into the urban space, closely linked to people's lives, is expected to contribute to the formation of an innovation culture throughout society.
TECHFEST Vietnam continues to be oriented towards developing into a platform connecting the domestic startup ecosystem with the region and the world, creating conditions for Vietnamese startups to access global resources, while affirming the role of science and technology as a new growth driver for the country./.
