Themes to be discussed at the Vietnam International Digital Week 2025

This is the 4th time that the Vietnam International Digital Week 2025 has been hosted by the Ministry of Science and Technology. This year, the International Digital Week is organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology in collaboration with the People's Committee of Ninh Binh Province to promote policy dialogue, share international experiences and introduce new technology solutions in the fields of AI, 5G, digital infrastructure, digital human resources and innovation.

VIDW has become one of the most prestigious annual forums on the digital sector in the region, bringing together leading policymakers, international organizations, experts and technology enterprises.

According to the Organizing Committee, VIDW 2025 is expected to have more than 1,000 domestic and international delegates attending, including leaders of major organizations such as the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the European Union (EU), the Asia Pacific Telecommunications Organization (APT), the World Bank (WB) and representatives of leading Vietnamese and international technology corporations such as Starlink, Qualcomm, SK, Huawei, Nokia, Ericsson, Viettel...

According to information from the Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Science and Technology, VIDW 2025 will take place many in-depth forums and seminars including:

The Ministerial Roundtable on "AI Governance" including Ministers in charge of the field from Southeast Asian countries and continents will take place on the morning of October 27 in Ninh Binh.

The roundtable will be a high-level forum for stakeholders to share experiences, initiatives, and policies on responsible AI governance.

According to the Ministry of Science and Technology, Vietnam's draft AI Law is expected to be submitted to the National Assembly by the end of 2025 based on core principles: People-centered, ensuring safety and transparency, inclusive and sustainable development, balanced and harmonious governance. The law aims to help Vietnam become one of the few countries with a comprehensive legal framework on AI.

At the same time, the Ministerial Roundtable will also contribute to affirming Vietnam's proactive role, initiative and commitment in international cooperation in science, technology, innovation and digital transformation.

The key topics are forums and seminars in Ninh Binh:

October 27: The 6th ASEAN Forum on 5G; EU-ASEAN Digital Cooperation Forum; Vietnam Digital Partnership Forum - Digital Cooperation Organization and regional workshop on AI-based digital transformation.

On October 28, there will be a workshop on developing the ASEAN Digital Master Plan 2030; AI Startup Forum; International Forum on Digital Human Resource Development; Regional Workshop on Sustainable Telecommunications Infrastructure Development; EU-Vietnam Innovation and Research Day; International Forum on Strategic Technologies.

Meanwhile, in Hanoi, on October 28, the Vietnam-Korea Digital Cooperation Forum will take place.

Forums, seminars and events contribute to policy recommendations, cooperation initiatives and strategic orientations, serving as a basis for Vietnam and partners to build new regional and international cooperation mechanisms.

At VIWD 2025, there will be an outdoor technology demonstration to introduce innovative products and solutions, breakthroughs in the field of digital transformation and AI of Vietnamese technology enterprises.
