The Institute’s Board of Directors listened to the concerns and aspirations of the VJST staff, provided specific responses and solutions for issues that could be addressed immediately.
Regarding the directive from Minister Nguyễn Mạnh Hùng during the Ministry of Science and Technology’s in his conclusion of the Ministry of Science and Technology's State Management Review Meeting on July 7, 2025, to transform Vietnam Journal of Science and Technology into a public service unit directly under the Ministry, the Institute’s Board of Directors generally agreed but emphasized the need for a clear roadmap, process, and timeline. The Board stressed that it would provide the best conditions for the Journal’s development.

In concluding the meeting, President Phạm Đình Nguyên affirmed that thorough decentralization and delegation of authority would be implemented to enable the Journal to be more proactive in both its operations and professional activities. He also set the goal for VJST to accelerate its international integration efforts, enhance the quality and academic rigor of its scientific publications, and build a strong reputation in the regional and international academic communities.
